Naturally, we’re going to begin this list with one of our private hot tub Ontario cottages. Cottage #10, much like #6, #7, and #8, has a soothing outdoor hot tub on the deck of this cathedral-style home. The hot tubs, of course, make these four cottages quite popular during the winter months. This fully-equipped home-away-from-home is ideally situated near lush forestry. While it’s the furthest cottage away from the sandy beach, its seclusion allures couples and groups looking for a quiet escape.
Cottage #19
Cottage #19 is popular among guests for two reasons: it’s only steps from Halls Lake, and it’s secluded. The majority of the property surrounding this cottage is snow-covered forestry, creating a private, exclusive experience. This cottage has satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a sundeck, and large windows overlooking the lake.
Cottage #1
Cottage #1, much like #19, is steps from Halls Lake, but it’s our smallest unit here in the Algonquin Highlands. It sleeps up to four people and was built with couples in mind. The high-quality Simmons queen-size bed, idyllic wood-burning fireplace, and newly-renovated kitchen make this one of the most affordable romantic cottages in Canada.
Cottage #12
Cottage #12 is an alpine-style home, which is an aesthetically-pleasing feature that appeals to many families and groups. The cottage itself is close to the playground and has perfect sightlines to Halls Lake, Ontario. All of our Ontario cottages have wood-burning fireplaces. In fact, Sandy Lane is one of the only four-season Ontario resorts to provide all guests with wood-burning fireplaces!

Last but certainly not least, Cottage #4 is the closest home to our natural outdoor ice skating rink. It’s also one of our ten-person Ontario cottages, which is perfect for large families or small groups. Cottage #4 has all the comforts of home with the rustic allure of a lakefront cottage.
